Building 20
Former home
of the MIT Dept. of Linguistics and Philosophy

A top view of Building 20.

One portal through which entrance is gained.

A couple of views from the back illustrate the variety of inspirational
modern art
(brown in left photo, orange in right photo) available for midday
meditations.

Here, we see the corner of the building most distant from the
RTG computer room.

From the inside, Building 20 has the futuristic feel you come to expect
from MIT.
Left: a learning chamber is shown, right:
an inter-chamber transport structure.
Other stuff about Building 20
As you surely know, the Department of Linguistics
and Philosophy has now left Building 20 (as of August
1997) for our new home in Building E39. Building 20
will remain standing for around a year until everyone
has been relocated, and then it will be torn down and
replaced by a new building with the same number.
The Magical Incubator
A fine collection of Building 20 lore.
